Introduction

Electronic Equipment insurance policy provides protection to owner, lessor or hirer of electronic equipment in the event of any physical damage to the equipment leading to its breakdown.

Equipments such as:

  • Telecommunication equipment.
  • Radio and TV
  • Office Equipments such as calculators, photocopying machines and scanners.

This policy covers unforeseen and sudden physical loss or damage to electronic equipment including breakdown. It also covers the equipment whilst they are in operation or at rest or whilst being dismantled for the purpose of cleaning or overhauling or whilst being shifted within

This policy can be extended to cover:

Section 1 – External Data Media

Covers damage to external data media for example punch cards, tapes, discs etc.

Section 2 - Increased Cost of Working

Covers additional costs incurred due to use of a substitute computer system as a result of an accidental damage to the computer.
